S.J. Abed General Enterprises limited was established in 1976 and has been operational for over 45 years. Our company is a 100% indigenous and multi-disciplinary organisation.
Our operations include provision of industrial catering, housekeeping, laundry and facility management services. We provide permanent and temporary accommodation. We also provide the supply of kitchen, laundry and bakery equipment including spare parts and maintenance to our clients.
By the year 1976 we established a catering unit, catering for individuals and small to medium sized companies. The company was also involved in food manufacturing industry. By the year 1986 we expanded our services to Lagos. Demand for our services grew in leaps and bounds and by 1991 we extended our industrial catering services in swamp, onshore and offshore, offering all our services in the Niger Delta region for larger organizations including the oil and gas industry.
Our catering service is a land mark in the industry. Our focus is on great food and quality service coupled with our proven commercial ability that is why we boast of 100% client retention. Our mission in catering is to gain leadership through quality service and zero food poison.
We recognize that every catering service is unique. That is why we tailor our catering services programs to address the specific needs of our clients. Our extensive menu selections incorporate multi-course meals, ready-to-serve dishes and takeaway foods.

Our full-range of outdoor catering services cover complete food preparation and presentation for formal and informal gatherings plus all setup, cleanup, teardown and as-requested amenities.
We provide quality facility management services focusing on all the unusual facility management issues confronting organizations. We offer world class multi-disciplinary service to our clients making use of local knowledge and global relationships.

We build and rent permanent and temporary accommodation camps for our clients. We run these camps providing catering, housekeeping, cleaning, laundry services including facility management.
Based on the need and requirment of the clients we design, engineer, install and maintain workers camps of high quality standard.
We have built and currently maintain camps for our clients in Ikot Abasi, Port Harcourt, Brass, Bonny Island, Irri, Kwale etc. We have also assembled temporary accommodation camp in Akwa Ibom for our clients.
The camps are equipped with typical office and home needs including restrooms, canteens, kitchen, cooling systems, medical clinics, laundry rooms, cold rooms, recreation centers amongst others to provide comfort to the occupiers. All cabins are of good quality and built to meet the highest required HSE standard.
S.J. Abed runs an exclusive gentlemen’s club and restaurants. Our Piano Club in Ikoyi, Lagos is designed to take care of discerning diplomatic personnel and businessmen offering the best of international cuisines with live music. Our restaurants are among the best in the country. We offer different types of cuisines incorporating continental and national menus. Patrons include the more discerning corporate bodies and individuals
Our HSE policy provides clearly for planning and execution of all catering, housekeeping and facility management operations in such a way that safety is fully maintained and observed for the health and safety of its employees, suppliers, customers, equipments and all other persons affected by its activities.
All our personnel are well trained to comply with Company HSE Policy in planning and execution of their assignments.
As a standing guide any activity found in the opinion of the employee to be unhealthy, unsafe, insecure or otherwise environmentally unsound is suspended immediately and reported to the appropriate office.
Divisional focal point is notified and actions taken over such incident.
Findings and recommendations are made by the HSE officer on site and learning points disseminated to staff through morning briefings and information board. All food handlers undergo general fitness test and food handler test to ensure that our staff are fit to handle food.
Staff are consistently exposed to HSE drills, swimming pool exercises, use of firefighting equipment, first aid course for relevant staff in line with HSE requirements. We also organize Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency training for our employees who have been deployed to work in deep offshore.

We maintain very enviable level of Quality Assurance/Quality Control in all our locations. Our quality operations are based on the relevant policy. This policy ensures inter alia that systems and controls are in place to enable consistency in product and services delivery that meet agreed requirements in which requirements are clearly specified and understood by all concerned.
In all of our locations our QA/QC officer ensures that all materials received are of high quality standard.
